it is tautologically true that it’s funny he said this because either
a) this is a true statement. his full statement was that he let the kid punch him in the face because he thought it wouldn’t hurt. he is a huge moron for inviting that when as you state, you’ll get that from kids regardless and should try and avoid the pain
or
b) he lied in a way that throws a small child under the bus for whatever it was that actually caused it, which is a stupid and ludicrous thing to do
both of which possibilities are heightened by the idea that this moron is some sort of brain genius
Oh my God wow, wow, wow. Wow. I would never invite my kids to punch me in the face, because kids don’t give a fuck, and especially because my kids have AuDHD. While they’ve never met self-restraint, they’re pretty sure it sounds stupid. I’d get fucking falcon punched.
As a parent, I’m not going to lie, there’s a non-zero chance that’s the truth. My kids are made of like 90% elbows.
