Well just like with War on Drugs is not about winning. It’s about making as much money off of it as you can. Note they didn’t try to address the problems with immigration. They didn’t change the Green Card system. They didn’t expand the number of immigration judges. The bloated ICE budget isn’t just to wage war against immigrants, it’s also because they realized the military wouldn’t side with them if they tried to seize/retain power. It should also be noted that after a shitshow of year 1 and being unable to fight a combined arms mechanized war, they switched back to the brute force and massive casualty strategy, and for all intents and purposes, It worked, all Ukraine can do is try to hold territory and kill soldiers, but realistically due to Western cowardice and ratfuckery, the door closed a long time ago on Ukraine being able to dislodge Russia from its stolen territory.
The US doesn’t always lose. They won against the indigenous peoples in the Indian Wars (1775-1924).
