Reuters spoke with five private eyes, who all said their fraudulent sick leave business was booming - so much so that some agencies have ditched traditional gigs like extra-marital affairs to focus solely on employees suspected of skipping work.

    So sick leaves cost the country 10billion€ a year? Just tax some fucking billionaires properly and be done with it. They clearly have too much money on their hands to hire detectives to harass people.

          You may note that it mentions the government relying on private investigators.

          Additionally this has been investigated privately for at least 4 years.

          Lehmann’s collaborator Patrice Le Bec, who was hired to conduct the Paris probe, said he had seen people sign off sick and head straight to the airport on vacation.
