You gotta wonder if they used AI to generate the meshes?
I can assume.
Seems like that might be the case at least for the textures, so I have to assume they did it for everything else as well: https://steamcommunity.com/app/3131640/discussions/0/603042323028370845/
Agreed that the graphics mods seem like a better fit for the overall aesethic of the game.
Lol glad I’m not the only one who thought this
My live reaction to the reveal was the world’s loudest “ehhhhhhhhhhh…!?”
I laughed so hard at the graphics reveal in the trailer. It really does just look like a PS2 game.
As someone who left Windows, I’m glad I’ll be able to play Deus Ex on my Xbox. And Switch? Awesome. My favorite game for many years, no longer tied to computers running spyware.
I’ll be playing it on my spyware free Linux PC and/or handheld. Where I control my nextwork traffic.
Any console that connects to the Internet is spying on you as well.
Oh yeah, I have an Xbox Series X, I know it has all the bullshit Microsoft telemetry shit turned on in the background that I got away from when I left Windows.
PlayStation isn’t much better, if any. Both are run by people who don’t get gamers except as a means to profit, but they both make decent gaming machines.
I think it’s funny how one of the best gaming machines out there runs Linux, and it’s neither unpopular nor unheard of. Steam Deck. And there are others like it. I just wish we had Proton on macOS. Apple has Game Porting Toolkit, Linux (/Valve?) has Proton, I wish they’d work together because they have a common enemy in Microsoft, and both lending their assets to the other helps both of them — in the same way that “a rising tide lifts all boats.” Even Windows/Xbox, because the increased competition may make them make better choices.
