Hey, that sounds cool! I’ll give it a try.

They are into something…
What about a Pokemon dating app? Like, you fill a quizz that gives you the type of Pokemon you are (with stats and all) and you have to match with the person that is most compatible to you. If everything goes well, you two have a new baby pokemon to take care.
It’s so stupid that it could somehow works.
Every day is Cat days if you’re lazy enough.
It’s hardly related, but I once had a nightmare that I was back to high school and had to take an exam on integrals, but since I didn’t know anything I just repeated to the teacher (who strangely was my college teacher) that I was an arts student.
When I woke up, I asked my friends who were studying engineering what integrals were, none of them gave me a satisfactory answer, so to this day I still have no idea what they are.
How great to see Godot gaining momentum
My family has a history of blood pressure problems, so my mother, in order to keep control, has had to buy a couple of devices to measure her blood pressure, which she also uses with my father and grandmother.
I just think it’s fantastic that such devices already exist and are so affordable. It makes me wonder if maybe in a handful of years we will have the ability to do x-rays at home and things like that, it would be great.
Well, it is necessary to clarify that I speak not so much from my own experience but from those close to me (family and friends who have or have had iPhones, I have only had iPods). With regard to the phone plan, the people I know who have had iPhones always tend to have no data to browse, because the data on their phone runs out surprisingly faster than on Android phones. I don’t know what the technical details would be, I suspect it has to do with processes running in the background that require internet.
With the chargers, on the one hand the thing is that most iPhone phones circulating in Latin America are older, so none have the Type-C port that is now Standard. And for the iPhones that do have it, correct me if I’m wrong, but I think those iPhones have a particularity that only cables manufactured by Apple can effectively charge the iPhone, while any other cable either can not charge it as quickly or can even damage it. I think something similar happens with the Nintendo Switch, that its port is Type-C but only cables made by Nintendo work, but I insist in saying that I could be wrong.
To conclude, I must say that this is just my opinion according to a specific context. I am sure that in more developed countries like the United States, Japan or European countries, the experience of having an iPhone is as normal as with any other phone, or even better.
Any Apple product, mostly the iPhones. If you live in Latin America, those things are more a burden than something useful. They are too expensive, too fragile, and too Eye-catching for burglars.
They eats up your phone plan in hours just by existing, you can’t borrow a charger because everyone around you has Android. The simplest things to do on Android are an ordeal on Iphone.
The only way it can be worth it is if you have all Apple products (iMac, AppleTV, iPad, etc). But for that, you better be prepared to pawn your soul.
Room temperature superconductors. Those things are insane, but by now, as far as I know , the only way to create them is with extremely low temperatures.
We were told from the beginning that any mistakes we made would have to be paid for, and that the work was “informal” (unregistered), so my ex-employers, in their words, “could do whatever they wanted with us”. That and the fact that in general the whole business was poorly run from the beginning were among the reasons for my resignation.
“But why did you take such a job in the first place?” Simple, I “needed” the money.
I worked for an online money exchange company. On one occasion I made a wrong operation: I chose the wrong bank and although the account did belong to the client, it was blocked and there was no possibility (supposedly) of reactivating it. I ended up making the company lose the equivalent of 3 times my salary (the equivalent in, say, Dollars is not much, but here in Venezuela it was more money than I ever had in my whole life). After paying half of the debt (since the other half was charged to my supervisor, even though I proposed that I would assume the entire debt) I resigned immediately, I did not want to deal with the stress of making such a mistake again and that it would get worse.
What you say sounds a lot like what is happening with the hard drive. Thanks for clarifying it for me!
Where I live (Venezuela) computer components are not very cheap or easy to obtain, and I don’t have the money to afford an SSD (at least not now nor a near future)…
“Freedom, at last…!”
No, we just jump to the Return of the King without seeing the other 2. It would be a total experience.
The Lord of the Rings: The Return of The King Extended Edition.
They have their own places to sleep, to eat and Litter bo. At the moment I do my best so that they don’t meet directly and don’t have any problems: if the older cat enters one room, I put the kitten in another. I plan to do this for a couple of weeks and then introduce them more directly, with the kitten in a cage so she doesn’t get attacked.
I am, but not in its entirety. There are still a lot of things I would like to achieve and a couple of other things in my environment that I dislike quite a bit, but overall I feel satisfied with myself and who I am today; something that a few years ago I couldn’t claim even if it cost me my life.
A post apocalyptic adventure with political drama.
Now THATS a “Humorless” toaster. Great work.
