A battery is not generation so…
Unsure if you’re responding to something that isn’t showing on my post BUT, had you read the article you’d understand that the battery stores and provides as much energy as the coal fire plant could produce, but faster.
Meaning they can use more efficient energy sources and use excess power generation to charge the battery rather than lower production because it would be a waste.
Coal fire plants, as I understand it, are useful because they can bring power online fast. This battery serves that purpose now.
And now you know, so you don’t have to go talking from a position of ignorance.
