minus-squareouthouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up24arrow-down4·17 hours agoYeah! They need to do important stuff! Like point guns at me while I’m going to the grocery store!
minus-squarethermal_shock@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up10arrow-down4·17 hours agoMilitary doesn’t do that, that’s for cops after they get out of the military.
minus-squareOBJECTION!@lemmy.mllinkfedilinkarrow-up3·5 hours agoYeah, the military’s job is to point guns at people when they’re going to the grocery store in other countries, primarily.
minus-squareouthouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up15arrow-down1·edit-211 hours agoOh, so who was the guy in digital camo standing next to the grey armored vehicle doing that? Because im pretty sure that wasn’t a cop; he looked like he might’ve actually know how to use his gun. Edit: did not see crayons, but it was a few hours after lunch and there was a pretty nice art supply store nearby.
minus-squareSkyezOpen@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·13 hours agoCops have camo and rifles. I genuinely don’t think the army has vehicles any color other than green, tan, and woodland camo. Did it look like this?
minus-squareouthouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·12 hours agoMore sidewalk colored. Different hat? I think?

minus-squareouthouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·edit-23 hours agoNope. Wasn’t that. Im aware of what a cop looks like. I have been outside. At this point we have a rough time and im not going to identify vehicles for location. Not gonna dox myself harder than i already have.
minus-squarethermal_shock@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·15 hours agoHe’s about to get out and become a cop.
minus-squareouthouseperilous@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·15 hours agoNo. Like i said; he was holding his gun properly.
minus-squareLaLuzDelSol@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down3·edit-26 hours agoNational Guard maybe? Officially they are not military though. Edit: Yes they are I was wrong sorry
minus-squareasg101@lemmy.blahaj.zonelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·14 hours agoNational Guard ARE part of the military, they wear U.S. military uniforms and are deployed to U.S. invaded and occupied countries like Iraq.
minus-squareLaLuzDelSol@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·6 hours agoThey are officially civilians, no? I know they can be called up into active service but outside of that…
minus-squareSkyezOpen@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·4 hours agoThey do both. The band “We gargle military balls” made a song about it. Sorry I misremenbered their name.
minus-squareSkaveRat@discuss.tchncs.delinkfedilinkarrow-up4·15 hours agoMarines have also been deployed
