This reminds me of the guy in my town. He used to work on a factory line and was worried about losing his jobs to automatisation, so he decided to try to build his own packaging robot.
He failed, can you believe it? And automatisation never happened either, technology never advanced and he is still at that factory hand packing boxes 30 years later!!!
Just goes to show that if you don’t have the know-how, it’s really easy to show that it can’t be done and you instantly keep your job forever.
Where’s this mythical creature with know-how that can make a LLM not be a glorified slop machine?
Call OpenAI when you find them, because they’re also looking for one. They keep making new studies and finding the limitations, inaccuracy and uselessness of LLMs is got some hard lines that can’t be surpassed.
But hey, maybe you know better than the people creating the slop machine.
Middle managers like to pitch automated assembly options, and new factory construction will always include them. But the moment upper management looks at repair of maintaince costs on those automated systems, they go right back to paying someone $24 an hour to do that
