What does the US do after the war? Show they never hated the Nazis. Install them into prominent positions in NATO, Western German government, etc. Bring them over to the US via paperclip. They launch Gladio, sponsor a military coup in Greece to kill leftists and communists, suppress communist and socialist movements for decades in those countries the US “liberated”.
M-R was after the publication of Mein Kampf. Hitler had been openly saying he planned to murder the soviets - all of them - for years by the time of the pact. Why, do you think, were the Soviets willing to sign it anyway? Why wasn’t there an anti-nazi alliance at the time of M-R? Who else signed treaties with the Nazis and in what order?
